Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl Tweksha Kaukuntla  will be leading a blood donation camp at the Century Hospitals in the city on May 17th and 18th (Thursday & Friday).

A socially-aware and responsible girl, Tweksha in the past helped her mother organize organ donation camps; and was also associated with similar welfare activities at the Rainbow School and the Devnar School for the Blind.

Commenting on the initiative, Tweksha, who finished her Intermediate education said, “Awareness among people on the importance of blood donation and its positive effects on the society is low in India. I want to play a small role in educating people on the importance of blood donation, and how it will help in not just saving others’ lives, but also help in rejuvenating the donor’s body.”

Coming from a family of Doctors, Tweksha, aspires to study Medicine and emerge into a compassionate medical practitioner.
